The Bridge

Life comes from experiences, Carpe Diem am I right? With that in mind, I find hard to break the inertia to start a trip somewhere, so when convince myself to travel I enjoy the most out of it.

Last summer, between 2018 and 2019 a friend of mine had her birthday celebrated in Valdivia, and some friends and I decided that backpacking was the best option. We were five, Alejandro, Bruno, Jaime, Cristobal and I. Of course, backpacking takes more time, but time wasn't quite lacking back then, and more time with friends it’s always nice, at least in my opinion.

I had been in Valdivia once in the scholar tour, I got to see the Calle-Calle river, I smoked some cigarretes in the bridge and felt in love with the greenful colors and fresh temperatures. Back then I was a lot younger, I had a schedule to follow and the little time I spent there, I got it carved in my memories. Now I was there, with plenty of time, no schedule, better friends and tons of more independence. We went to Angachilla wetland, Niebla and some random museum downtown, and of course, that nostalgic bridge. The feeling of being there, a lot older and a lot wiser, made me see the contrasts of life, the ups and downs and that besides everything that happened, the good and the bad, it was worth it, for I was there again.
